Source datasets for the apprehension and detention dashboards, obtained through FOIA requests to ICE and filtered to Maine. The Deportation Data Project republishes the entire dataset each time and serves only the most recent version, so we keep every release. Which fields ICE includes changes between releases — an older release is not necessarily superseded, and may hold information the current one does not.
ICE Arrests & Detention — Maine
Individual-level arrest, detention-stay and detention-stint records. Maine coverage runs 3 October 2022 – 5 August 2026: 1,894 arrest events and 1,859 people. This is the first release to record the city of arrest, which is what makes town-level mapping possible. It does not include the targeted/collateral field — for that, see the May 2026 release.
ICE Arrests — Maine
Individual-level arrest records for Maine: 1,641 records covering 3 October 2022 – 9 March 2026. Retained because ICE stopped publishing the apprehension-type field — the field distinguishing targeted arrests from collateral ones — in every release after this. Since only the newest extract can be downloaded from the Deportation Data Project, this is the copy that still carries it. It has no city-of-arrest field.
